Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Falas websites, applications, and services ("Falas" or the "Service"), operated by Unifiltered LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("we," "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you are using Falas through your school or university, a separate agreement between us and your institution may also apply.
1. What Falas is — and is not
Falas is an interview practice tool. It simulates interviews, records your practice responses, and generates feedback. It is not a recruiting service, and using it does not create any relationship with any employer.
- Practice only. Falas is for preparation before an interview. You may not use it to receive live assistance, answers, or coaching during a real interview or assessment, and the Service is not designed to provide any.
- No affiliation with employers. Falas is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any employer or university named in the Service. Employer and school names are used only to describe what our independent practice simulations relate to. Simulations are based on publicly described recruiting formats and candidate-reported experiences; they are practice, not a preview of any actual interview.
- AI-generated feedback. Interviews are conducted by AI and feedback is AI-generated. It can be wrong, incomplete, or different from a real interviewer's judgment. It is provided for educational purposes and is not professional career, legal, or hiring advice, and no score or report is a prediction or guarantee of any interview or employment outcome.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Falas, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if higher. If you access Falas through an institution, you also represent that your use complies with your institution's policies.
3. Accounts and access codes
Parts of the Service work without an account using access codes or assignment links provided to you (for example, by your school). You are responsible for keeping codes, links, and account credentials confidential and for activity under your account. We may suspend access for misuse.
4. Recording and analysis
Practice sessions capture your microphone and, where you enable it, your camera. By starting a session you consent to this capture and to automated processing of the recordings — transcription, scoring, and feedback generation — as described in our Privacy Policy. You are the only person who should appear in a session; do not record anyone else. Certain deployments (including EU education deployments) operate in a behavioral-metrics mode in which no camera-based emotion or affect inference is performed. Where any camera-based analysis would constitute biometric data under applicable law (for example the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act), we will obtain your separate, explicit consent before your camera is analyzed, as described in our Privacy Policy, and you may decline camera analysis and continue in audio-only or behavioral-metrics mode.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not use the Service during a live interview, exam, or assessment, or to deceive an employer or institution.
- Do not copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute the question bank, briefs, research, or reports, or use them to build a competing service.
- Do not reverse engineer, probe, or disrupt the Service, or bypass usage limits, tokens, or access controls.
- Do not upload unlawful content, malware, or other people's personal information.
- Do not misrepresent Falas as being affiliated with any employer or school.
6. Tokens, plans, and payments
Practice tokens and demo credits are promotional, have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may be adjusted, expired, or revoked at any time. If and when paid plans are offered, pricing, billing terms, and any refund terms will be presented at the point of purchase and form part of these Terms. Institutional licensing is governed by the applicable institutional agreement. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable.
7. Your content and our content
You own your practice responses, recordings, and resume information. You grant us a license to host and process them to operate the Service — including generating your transcripts, scores, and reports — and to improve the Service using de-identified or aggregated data. The Service itself — including software, question banks, briefs, research, design, and reports' format — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use it for your own interview preparation.
8. Institutional deployments
If you use Falas through your school or university (for example via an institution code, invite, or assignment link), your institution may receive reporting about usage and performance, such as attempts, practice minutes, and scores, as described in our Privacy Policy and the institution's agreement with us.
9. Third-party services
The Service is built on third-party providers (for example speech-to-text, AI analysis, avatar video streaming, and hosting). Their availability affects ours, and their processing of your data on our behalf is described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT FEEDBACK IS ACCURATE, THAT QUESTIONS WILL APPEAR IN ANY REAL INTERVIEW, OR THAT USE OF THE SERVICE WILL LEAD TO ANY EMPLOYMENT OUTCOME.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, OPPORTUNITIES, OR DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US $50. NOTHING IN THIS SECTION LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED OR EXCLUDED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THESE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
12. Indemnification
You will indemnify us against claims arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Service, to the extent permitted by law.
13. Termination
You may stop using Falas at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect the Service or its users. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 7, 10–12, and 15) survive termination.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and continued use after changes means you accept them.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us and attempt informal resolution for 30 days.
Binding arbitration; class-action waiver (U.S. users). If we cannot resolve a dispute informally within 30 days, you and we agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, seated in Delaware or conducted by videoconference, rather than in court — except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court or seek injunctive relief for intellectual-property or misuse claims. YOU AND WE AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. If this class-action waiver is found unenforceable, the entirety of this arbitration provision is void. Nothing here waives any right that cannot be waived by law, and this section does not apply where prohibited. Institutional (school or university) agreements are governed by their own dispute-resolution terms, not this section.
